Jeff Beck's Collection Auctioned for £8.7 Million

An auction of Jeff Beck's extensive collection of guitars, amps, and pedals has fetched £8.7 million, significantly surpassing the pre-sale estimate. The centerpiece of the auction was Beck's 1954 'Oxblood' Gibson Les Paul guitar, which sold for £1.06 million. The auction, held by Christie's in London, drew bids from 40 countries and included over 130 items spanning Beck's nearly 60-year career. The proceeds from the last four auctioned items, including a guitar and artwork, will benefit Folly Wildlife Rescue, a charity supported by Beck and Johnny Depp. Jeff Beck, who passed away in January 2023 at the age of 78, was celebrated for his innovative guitar techniques and won eight Grammy awards. The auction presented a rare opportunity for fans and collectors to own pieces from the legendary rock musician's history.
