Catholic Charities NH Plans Affordable Housing Units

Catholic Charities New Hampshire is moving forward with plans for 80 affordable housing units at the former highway garage site after a city board denied a variance for three additional units due to zoning restrictions. Planning director Seth Creighton noted that the extra units did not meet the necessary hardship tests, while CC-NH plans to submit a formal site application by the end of November. In Central Texas, the recently opened Centro35 apartment complex in San Marcos is providing 330 below-market rental units, aiming to support residents earning up to 60% of the area's median income. Meanwhile, in Waynesboro, Virginia, a new townhome complex will offer over 80 units, including affordable options for local workers, with homes priced around $200,000.
