Governments and utilities in the US, UK, and Australia have expanded energy efficiency programs to help households lower energy bills and consumption. Victoria's Energy Upgrades program in Australia has supported nearly 99,000 households in 2025, offering discounts on upgrades and saving families up to $1,000 annually. The UK government has announced electricity bill relief for residents near new power pylons, providing up to £2,500 off over 10 years as part of grid modernization. In the US, efficiency initiatives include no-cost services in Southern California, new programs in Georgia, and PSE&G's efforts in New Jersey, which have saved 465,000 customers over $720 million annually. Wisconsin's rebate programs, federally funded, have distributed over $2 million for home energy improvements in their first year.
