Hawaii Doctor Arrested for Attempted Murder of Wife

Gerhardt Konig, a 46-year-old anesthesiologist, was arrested in Hawaii for allegedly attempting to murder his wife, Arielle Konig, after she refused to take a photo with him. The incident occurred at the Pali Lookout, where Konig reportedly struck his wife with a rock and tried to push her off a hiking trail, resulting in multiple injuries that left her in critical condition. Following the assault, he was apprehended by police after a brief foot chase. Konig, who has been suspended from his medical practice pending investigation, was previously employed as a doctor at the Anesthesia Medical Group. The shocking incident prompted a closure of the popular tourist spot for the remainder of the day as authorities investigated.
