The men's street skateboarding competition was postponed until Monday because of the weather, and tennis matches at Roland Garros were delayed, with only two outdoor courts operational. The opening ceremony, which showcased around 7,000 athletes along the Seine, received mixed reviews and was marred by a significant gaffe where South Korean athletes were incorrectly introduced as North Korean. Additionally, some critics, including a Catholic Bishop, expressed discontent over the ceremony's portrayal of Christian themes. The International Olympic Committee has since apologized for the mistake during the event.
