Affordable Senior Housing Projects Break Ground in Dublin, Jackson, Pasco County, Rio Rancho

Several new affordable housing projects targeting seniors and low-income households have recently broken ground or opened across the United States. In Dublin, California, Regional Street Apartments will provide 113 units for seniors earning between 20% and 50% of the area median income, with 34 units reserved for formerly homeless individuals and features like community gardens and EV charging stations. Jackson, Tennessee, has commenced construction on BlueCreek Apartments and The Cottages of BlueCreek, adding 112 affordable units to address the statewide shortage, funded in part by $23 million in low-income housing tax credits. In Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Felician Villa offers 132 senior apartments with income restrictions ranging from 30% to 60% of the area median income, including amenities such as a community room and meditation garden, with occupancy starting soon. Pasco County, Florida, is developing Ekos at Bayonet Point, a multi-phase community that will eventually total 360 affordable units, beginning with 114 senior apartments aimed at residents earning up to 60% of the area median income, with completion anticipated by late 2026. These projects reflect a growing nationwide effort to provide affordable, supportive housing options for seniors and low-income families.
