Iron Maiden Plans 50th Anniversary Documentary, Fall Release

Iron Maiden is set to release an official documentary later this year to celebrate their 50th anniversary, in collaboration with Universal Pictures Content Group. Directed by Malcolm Venville, the film will feature interviews with the band, including the last conversation with original vocalist Paul Di'Anno, who passed away last year, and insights from notable fans like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Gene Simmons. The documentary aims to provide an emotive journey through the band's history, with rare archival footage and new animated sequences featuring their mascot, Eddie. It will explore Iron Maiden's cultural impact and legacy, challenging conventional views of rock and heavy metal. In addition to the documentary, Iron Maiden will embark on a world tour starting in May 2025, marking a significant milestone in their storied career. The documentary's release date is still to be determined, but it is expected to hit theaters internationally in the fall.
