Maine Man Faces Charges After Violent Incident

Billy Morvent, a 59-year-old man from Rumford, Maine, is facing multiple charges, including three counts of aggravated attempted murder and one count of arson, following a violent incident on November 5. Morvent allegedly drove his truck into a neighbor's home, set it on fire, and fired several gunshots, leading to a shelter-in-place order for the area. The incident resulted in the loss of the home and pets for the family residing there, though no human injuries were reported. After an extensive search, Morvent was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
