Multiple Stabbings Reported Across New York City
A series of stabbings occurred across New York, with the most deadly involving 39-year-old Shamel Parnell, who was fatally stabbed early Monday morning outside a former Bronx police precinct, now a preschool, at 1925 Bathgate Ave. Police released an image of the Bronx suspect, described as a man with a mustache in a hooded sweatshirt, who fled in a black sedan; no arrests have been made and the investigation continues. In Midtown, an 18-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen following a dispute, with the suspect—described as a man in black clothing and a face mask—still at large. Another incident in Shirley, Long Island, left a 44-year-old man with non-life-threatening wounds. Authorities are urging the public to provide information anonymously in all cases. The Bronx attack drew particular attention due to its location at a historic precinct building repurposed for early childhood education.
