Topeka Man Arrested for Drug Charges

A traffic stop in Osage County on November 18 resulted in the arrest of 59-year-old Daniel L. Bigenwalt from Topeka on multiple drug-related charges, including distribution of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. The stop, conducted at milepost 142 on US Highway 75, uncovered illegal narcotics in Bigenwalt's vehicle, as well as an outstanding warrant and driving while suspended. In a separate incident, Topeka Police arrested 21-year-old William E. A. Hill on the same day in connection with a shooting that occurred early on November 16, where a victim sustained life-threatening injuries. Hill has been charged with Aggravated Battery and is currently detained at the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding drug-related activities and violent crime in the Topeka area.
