Pennsylvania Man Charged With Killing Dog

Steven Redd, a 54-year-old man from Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, is facing multiple charges, including aggravated cruelty to animals, for allegedly shooting his daughter's dog, Gunner, while she was on vacation. The incident occurred on August 18, after Redd claimed the dog had bitten him and threatened to kill it, even sending his daughter a photo of himself with a knife aimed at Gunner. Following the dog’s disappearance, it was discovered shot dead in the woods the next day. Surveillance footage captured Redd with a handgun around the time of the incident, showing a muzzle flash as Gunner fled. Witnesses reported Redd had previously threatened both the dog and the victims. Redd is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
