Two Charged in Joliet Fatal Hit-and-Run
Two individuals have been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Joliet, Illinois, which occurred on December 14, 2024. James Deal, 40, of Joliet, is facing charges for failing to report and stop after the crash that led to the death of 62-year-old Robert Redmond Jr. Dominique Kennedy, 36, from Aurora, has been charged with filing a false report of vehicle theft, obstructing justice, and disorderly conduct after she falsely reported the Chevrolet Malibu used in the crash as stolen. The vehicle was discovered the day after the incident, and both suspects were apprehended after an investigation. Deal turned himself in, while Kennedy was arrested at her home. Both were released with a notice to appear in court, though the court dates have not been announced.
