Fall Career Fairs Connect Students, Jobseekers Nationwide

Multiple career and hiring fairs this fall are connecting students, job seekers, veterans and community members with employers and training programs. In Grand Ledge, a career fair drew more than 1,000 students from Grand Ledge, Potterville, Dansville and Portland high schools and featured over 80 organizations, Principal Dr. Ken Wright said. Houston City College is running a free Fall Career Fair series at HCC Southeast with specialty days for Education (Sept. 23), Business & Logistics/Port Houston (Oct. 17), Cosmetology (Nov. 10) and Welding (Nov. 20), open to students and the public. The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System will hold a hiring fair Sept. 27 at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center from 9 a.m.–2 p.m., offering on-site applications, interviews and processing for healthcare and public-service roles. Fort Wayne International Airport is hosting a public job fair (1–7 p.m.) where airline partners will accept applications and conduct some interviews. Organizers are encouraging civil, constructive engagement in event coverage and comment sections.
