Paramore Confirms Hiatus Amid Solo Projects

Hayley Williams has confirmed that Paramore is currently on a break but has not broken up, addressing fan speculation fueled by her recent solo work. She emphasized that the band often takes extended breaks to process their personal experiences, and praised her bandmates Zac Farro and Taylor York, as well as their touring musicians, describing the group as "just magic." Williams explained that while she is focusing on her solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, Paramore remains intact, having even written and recorded demos during their breaks. She expressed a sense of vindication in knowing that Paramore cannot be discounted despite lineup changes and pauses between albums. Williams also highlighted the importance of exploring her solo projects to strengthen different aspects of herself. Paramore’s most recent album, This Is Why, was released in 2023, marking the first time the band had the same lineup as their previous album.
