Two key members of the Yanks Air Museum, Chief Operating Officer Frank Wright and Pilot-in-Command Michael 'Mike' Gilles, were killed when their World War II-era Lockheed 12A plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Chino Airport during a Father's Day event. The crash, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, resulted in an immediate explosion and fire. Despite the swift response from firefighters, both men were found dead at the scene. No injuries were reported on the ground. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the incident. The museum has temporarily closed as it deals with the tragedy.
