Plane Crash in Honduras Claims 12 Lives

A tragic plane crash near Roatán Island, Honduras, claimed at least 12 lives, including renowned Garifuna musician Aurelio Martinez. The Jetstream 32 aircraft, operated by the Honduran airline Lanhsa, crashed into the sea shortly after takeoff, reportedly due to a mechanical failure. The aircraft, carrying 15 passengers and two crew members, was en route to La Ceiba on the mainland when it made a sharp turn and fell into the water. Five people were rescued, while one remains missing as search efforts continue.
