Killeen Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting, One Hospitalized

The Killeen Police Department is investigating a shooting involving an officer that occurred during a consensual interview in the 2600 block of Larissa Drive. The incident unfolded when officers and two Secret Service agents approached a residence for the interview, and a pat-down revealed a semi-automatic firearm in the 24-year-old male suspect's pocket. A struggle ensued, leading to the officers discharging their weapons and striking the suspect multiple times. He was subsequently airlifted to Baylor Scott & White hospital in critical condition. The Killeen Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division is conducting the investigation into this officer-involved shooting.
