Indian Army Deputy Chief Says China Aided Pakistan With Live Inputs During May Conflict
Lieutenant General Rahul R Singh, Deputy Chief of India's Army Staff, stated that during the May 7-10 conflict between India and Pakistan, China actively supported Pakistan by providing "live inputs" on key Indian military positions, effectively using the conflict as a "live lab" to test weapon systems. Singh described Pakistan as the "front face" of the conflict while China supplied 81 percent of Pakistan's military hardware and offered extensive strategic support, consistent with China's ancient strategy of "killing the adversary with a borrowed knife." He also highlighted Turkey's role in supplying military hardware to Pakistan, including numerous drones used during the conflict. The Indian official called for urgent upgrades to India's air defense systems in response to these developments. Although Singh did not specify how India obtained intelligence on China's live inputs, his remarks underscored the complex three-adversary situation India faced involving Pakistan, China, and Turkey. These revelations come amid ongoing tensions in the region and reflect the broader geopolitical dynamics influencing South Asia's security landscape.
