Connecticut Man Arrested After Six-Hour Foxwoods Casino Hostage Standoff

David R. Griswold, a 40-year-old man from East Windsor, Connecticut, was arrested after a six-hour standoff at Foxwoods Resort Casino where he allegedly held two women hostage in a hotel room on the 16th floor. Law enforcement, including the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police, Connecticut State Police, Ledyard Police, and SWAT teams, responded to the incident following a distress call about a young woman in trouble. Griswold is facing multiple serious charges such as unlawful restraint, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, carrying a firearm while under the influence of heroin and crack cocaine, breach of police, and interfering with law enforcement. Police found two firearms in the room, and one victim reportedly hid behind a couch fearing for her life before escaping.
