Scream 7 Set for February 2026 Release

Neve Campbell has confirmed that 'Scream 7' will be released in theaters on February 27, 2026, marking her return as iconic character Sidney Prescott after a pay dispute kept her from 'Scream VI'. Director Kevin Williamson, the franchise's original creator, will helm the project, which will be produced by Spyglass Media and Paramount. The film has faced significant challenges, including the exit of stars Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, with Barrera being fired due to controversial social media comments. Original director Christopher Landon has also departed the project, prompting a creative overhaul. Campbell emphasized that 'Scream 7' will focus on her character, ensuring a return to the franchise's roots. As of now, Courteney Cox is expected to reprise her role as Gale Weathers, though she has not yet signed on.
