Chinese Woman Dies After Multiple Cosmetic Surgeries

A woman named Liu from Guangxi province, China, tragically died after undergoing six cosmetic surgeries in a single day, leading her family to file a lawsuit against the clinic for negligence and improper care. Liu had financed the procedures through a loan of 40,000 yuan, and her family sought a compensation of 1.18 million yuan (US$168,000), ultimately receiving only half of the requested amount in a settlement. The surgeries included double eyelid surgery, a nose job, and liposuction, with the extracted fat injected into her face and breasts. Liu collapsed in the clinic's lift and was pronounced dead from acute respiratory failure due to pulmonary embolism after liposuction.
