Two men killed in West Pullman shooting, Chicago police investigate
In Gary, Indiana, a shooting outside Save More Foods left two people injured, a 43-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, after a known individual opened fire before fleeing the scene. The victims, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, are expected to survive, and police have identified a suspect but have yet to make an arrest. Meanwhile, in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood, a double homicide occurred when a 35-year-old man, during an argument with a known male suspect, was shot in the head, as was a 42-year-old man present at the scene. Both victims were pronounced dead, and the suspect fled, with detectives investigating the case. No arrests have been made in the Chicago incident, and police are seeking public assistance for information in the Gary case. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns about gun violence in the region.
