Canva Co-Founder, Wife Pledge Fortune to Environment

Canva co-founder Cameron Adams and his wife Lisa Miller have pledged to donate at least half of their estimated $7 billion fortune to environmental causes, with a particular focus on biodiversity and climate. Their commitment to philanthropy is influenced by Miller’s zoology background and the impact of the 2019 Australian bushfires. The couple has joined The Giving Pledge, an initiative founded by Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates, and Warren Buffett to encourage the world’s wealthiest to donate the majority of their wealth. Adams and Miller have also signed the Founder's Pledge, committing to give away 25% of their wealth over the next five years. Most of their wealth is tied up in Canva equity, which could increase if the company proceeds with a possible NASDAQ listing. Adams joins Canva co-founders Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht in this philanthropic effort.
