Henderson Police Sergeant Injured in Shooting

On Monday, a Henderson police sergeant was injured during an officer-involved shooting when he attempted to stop a driver of a stolen Jeep. The incident occurred near Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway when the driver fled, hitting the sergeant with the vehicle. In response, the sergeant discharged his firearm at the Jeep, which subsequently crashed into another vehicle. Both the sergeant and the driver were hospitalized and are reported to be in stable condition. Two suspects were taken into custody, with one needing medical attention, while the other fled but was apprehended shortly after. Authorities stated that there is no ongoing danger to the public as the investigation continues.
