Nikita Hand Awarded Damages After Home Invasion

Nikita Hand, who accused UFC fighter Conor McGregor of rape, was awarded €248,603.60 in damages by a jury following their verdict on the case. During the trial, it was revealed that she had been forced to move after masked men allegedly broke into her home, an incident her legal team linked to supporters of McGregor, although they did not claim he was involved. Her partner sustained stab wounds while defending her during the break-in, which happened on June 14, 2023, while her daughter was asleep nearby. Ms. Hand's counsel argued that the break-in was relevant to her anxiety and the costs associated with relocating, but the court rejected this evidence as speculative. McGregor's legal team described the attempt to introduce this incident as an effort to inflate her claims for damages. Ultimately, the jury found McGregor liable for assaulting Hand in a separate incident at a hotel in December 2018.
