Defendants Plead Not Guilty in Woodland Hills Doctor Murder Case

Evan Hardman, accused of murdering Dr. Hamid Mirshojae in an alleged murder-for-hire scheme, pleaded not guilty to charges including murder with special circumstances of lying in wait and financial gain. His co-defendants, ex-wife Ahang Mirshojae and Sarallah Jawed, also pleaded not guilty and are facing similar charges. The incident occurred on August 23, when Dr. Mirshojae was ambushed outside his Woodland Hills clinic. Both Ahang Mirshojae and Jawed are additionally linked to an assault on the victim with a baseball bat in May. All three defendants remain jailed without bail, with court hearings scheduled for March 17 to discuss bail and preliminary hearings.
