Colin Farrell has launched the Colin Farrell Foundation to support adults with intellectual disabilities, inspired by his 20-year-old son James who has Angelman Syndrome. Initially misdiagnosed with cerebral palsy, James was correctly diagnosed at two and a half years old. The foundation aims to provide education, advocacy, and innovative programs to help families navigate the transition as children with special needs age out of traditional support systems. Farrell, who shares James with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave, emphasizes the importance of kindness and inclusion for people with disabilities. He shared emotional moments, such as James taking his first steps and learning to feed himself, highlighting his son's determination and spirit. As James approaches his 21st birthday, Farrell hopes the foundation will help ensure that young adults like James are not left behind by society.
