A violent altercation over loud music in Southgate, Michigan, led to a man in his 60s shooting his neighbor and killing his own dog. The incident occurred late Wednesday night when the suspect, reportedly intoxicated, confronted his neighbor, a man in his 20s, and shot him multiple times. The victim is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. After the shooting, the suspect barricaded himself in his home, leading to an hours-long standoff with police before surrendering. Authorities also revealed that earlier in the evening, the suspect pulled a gun on his wife, who fled to another city. Charges are being prepared for submission to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
