Creature Commandos trailer

At San Diego Comic-Con, DC Studios co-chief James Gunn unveiled the first trailer for the animated series 'Creature Commandos,' set to premiere on Max in December 2024. The series, which features a team of military superhumans, is directed and written entirely by Gunn and will serve as the inaugural entry in his new DC Universe. The voice cast includes notable actors such as David Harbour, Indira Varma, and Frank Grillo, with plans for the cast to reprise their roles in future live-action DC productions. The teaser showcased a general visiting a prison and introduced various characters, including the Bride of Frankenstein and G.I. Robot, engaging in action against Nazis. Gunn emphasized the interconnectedness of animation and live-action in this new universe, promising that animated projects could lead to live-action adaptations and vice versa. This marks a significant shift for DC as it strives to establish a cohesive cinematic universe following the end of the DCEU timeline.
