The 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, scheduled from July 23 to August 2, will feature over 200 gold medals across a 10-sport program, marking a historic moment with the highest number of medals available. The Games will include a fully integrated para sports program, with 47 medal events, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity. Among the new features is the return of the Commonwealth Mile, replacing the 1500m event, a change welcomed by athletics officials.
