Harish Ahuja, the father-in-law of Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor, has acquired a property in London's Notting Hill for £21 million (approximately $27 million or Rs 231 crore). The 20,000 square-foot, eight-story residential convent, previously owned by a UK-registered charity, will be redeveloped with a section for Sonam and her husband Anand Ahuja to live in and another section converted into flats. This acquisition is one of the largest UK residential deals this year, defying a broader slowdown in luxury property sales. Sonam Kapoor, who has been living between London and Mumbai, has expressed excitement about returning to acting post-pregnancy, with a new project set to begin shooting next year. The couple welcomed their son Vayu in 2022 and often share glimpses of their life in the UK on social media. Harish Ahuja is the owner of Shahi Exports, a major player in the garment manufacturing industry.
