He previously led AFC Fylde to the National League North Championship in 2022-23 and has managerial experience at Mansfield Town, Boston United, and caretaker roles at Barnsley. Murray's playing career spanned over 500 senior appearances across multiple clubs including Kidderminster, Derby County, and Carlisle United. The move to Kidderminster allows Murray to be closer to his family in the Midlands, a factor cited in his recent departure from Eastbourne Borough.
