Seko Fofana has officially signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Ligue 1 club Rennes after a challenging stint in Saudi Arabia, where he struggled to find his footing at Al Nassr and during a loan at Al Ettifaq. The transfer fee is reported to be around €20 million, and Fofana expressed excitement about returning to Ligue 1, citing discussions with Rennes officials as a significant factor in his decision. Previously, Fofana played a pivotal role at Lens, where he helped secure a Champions League spot. Rennes currently sits 12th in Ligue 1 and hopes Fofana's experience will bolster their midfield and improve their season.
