Kevin Sinfield Begins Fundraising Ultra Challenge

Kevin Sinfield, the former rugby star, is on a week-long running challenge called 'Running Home for Christmas,' covering over 230 miles to raise funds for motor neurone disease (MND) charities in memory of his late teammate Rob Burrow, who passed away from the disease earlier this year. Joining him is Scott Morris, a former rugby player diagnosed with MND, who expressed gratitude for Sinfield's fundraising efforts, highlighting the need for increased awareness and support for the condition. The challenge, which started on December 1, includes daily runs of approximately 60km, with each segment consisting of 7km blocks, emphasizing the number 7 as a tribute to Burrow. Over the past years, Sinfield's previous fundraising efforts have raised over £10 million, showcasing the impact of his commitment to the MND community. Morris, affected by MND since his diagnosis in 2023, shares his journey and the importance of family support while contributing to the cause. The challenge aims to unite the MND community and promote the necessity of funding for research and support services.
