Stellantis announced a $406 million investment in three Michigan facilities to support its multi-energy strategy and electric vehicle production goals. The Sterling Heights Assembly Plant will receive $235.5 million to produce the Ram 1500 REV, the company's first fully electric vehicle in the U.S., and the range-extended Ramcharger, alongside internal combustion engine models. The Warren Truck Assembly Plant will get $97.6 million to manufacture an electrified Jeep Wagoneer, and the Dundee Engine Plant will receive $73 million for battery tray production and beam machining. These investments align with Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 plan, aiming for significant electrification in Europe and the U.S. by 2030. The move follows commitments made in a new contract with the United Auto Workers union, amidst ongoing discussions about layoffs and factory investments.
