Kings End Four-Game Overtime Streak with 3-1 Win Over Blackhawks
The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 in an NHL game, with Alex Laferriere and Kevin Fiala scoring in quick succession early in the second period. Laferriere tied the game at 1-1 with a wrist shot on a two-on-one break, and Fiala followed with a wraparound goal shortly after. Joel Armia added a short-handed empty-net goal late in the third period to seal the victory. Anton Forsberg stopped 22 shots for the Kings, while Chicago's Connor Bedard scored the opening goal, and Arvid Soderblom made 19 saves. The Kings improved to 4-3-3, ending a streak of four extra-time games, while the Blackhawks fell to 4-3-2 after a five-game points streak. The Kings are scheduled to play next in San José on Tuesday night.
