Chief Minister N Biren Singh has met with the Governor twice in a short span, demanding the abrogation of the Suspension of Operations agreement with Kuki insurgent groups and requesting greater powers to the state government for effective law enforcement. The Chief Minister has also condemned the recent violence and reiterated the need for a unified command to address security challenges. As tensions rise, security forces are deploying anti-drone systems to combat the threat of aerial attacks.
