Double-Decker Bus Collides Bridge Eccles Injuring 15, 3 Seriously

A double-decker bus crashed into a low bridge in Eccles, Salford, Greater Manchester, tearing off its roof and injuring 15 people, three of whom sustained serious injuries including one in critical condition. The incident occurred on the No. 100 bus service, which was not following its usual route at the time, prompting an immediate investigation by Greater Manchester Police and Transport for Greater Manchester. Witnesses reported hearing screams from the top deck of the bus and described the crash's horrific impact, with the bus's roof completely torn off by the 11ft 6 inches high bridge.
