Ohio issues alert for cannabis gummies with undisclosed ingredient

The Ohio Division of Cannabis Control has issued a product alert for a lot of cannabis-infused gummies made by Farmaceutical RX, LLC, under the Local Edibles Ohio brand, due to the use of undisclosed edible glitter. The ingredient was not listed on the product's label or registered in the state's inventory tracking system, and the processor could not verify it was sourced from a licensed, regulated supplier. Although edible glitter can be used if properly disclosed and sourced, the lack of transparency triggered the alert. The presence of edible glitter does not constitute a health hazard, so a full recall was not initiated. All affected products have been voluntarily removed from dispensary shelves, and consumers are advised to stop using the product and either return it for a refund or dispose of it. The Division of Cannabis Control will provide further updates if necessary.
