A 25-year-old dirt bike rider died after colliding with a vehicle in West Philadelphia on Wednesday night. The accident occurred around 8:16 p.m. at the intersection of 52nd and Spruce streets, where the rider, reportedly on a stolen bike, was performing wheelies without headlights before crashing head-on into a car. The impact left him pinned under the vehicle, and despite being transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car remained at the scene and was not injured. Police are investigating the incident, with no charges filed at this time. The identity of the deceased rider has yet to be disclosed.
