D.C. police fatally shot 26-year-old Justin Robinson early Sunday morning after responding to a report of a car crash at a McDonald's on Marion Barry Avenue. Officers found Robinson unresponsive in his vehicle with a firearm on his lap. Upon regaining consciousness, he reportedly reached for the gun, prompting officers to issue commands for him to drop it. When he grabbed one officer's service weapon, two officers fired their weapons, striking him. Despite immediate medical attention, Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene. The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave, and body camera footage is under review as part of the investigation.
