Meta and Oakley have launched the Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses, now available for preorder starting at $399.99 with estimated shipping as soon as August 26. These glasses feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera capable of 3K video recording, an onboard AI assistant, open-ear speakers, a five-microphone system, and 8 hours of battery life, doubling the Ray-Ban Meta glasses' four-hour duration. They offer several lens options, including Oakley's PRIZM lenses that enhance visual clarity and contrast, with prescription lenses expected soon. The glasses are designed for active lifestyles, boasting durability with an IPX4 water resistance rating and a lightweight O-Matter frame. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, with internal storage for over a thousand photos or more than 100 short videos, making these glasses a versatile and performance-driven upgrade over their Ray-Ban predecessors.
