Rod Stewart Joins Ronnie Wood, Mick Hucknall, Lulu at Glastonbury Legends Slot
At the 2025 Glastonbury Festival, 80-year-old music icon Rod Stewart delivered a highly praised performance during the coveted 'legends' slot on the Pyramid Stage. He opened with a bagpipe tribute to his Scottish heritage and performed hits like 'Maggie May,' 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?', and 'Sailing,' which closed his set. Stewart was joined by special guests including his former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood, who played guitar on 'Stay With Me,' Mick Hucknall of Simply Red, who duetted on 'If You Don't Know Me By Now,' and Scottish singer Lulu, who performed 'Hot Legs' with him. The festival's founder Michael Eavis, aged 89, was brought onstage in a wheelchair and warmly embraced by Stewart, who dedicated a song to him. Stewart also paid tribute to Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie during the set, and the performance was widely celebrated on social media as one of the best in the festival's history. The set was noted for its energy, star-studded collaborations, and emotional moments honoring musical legacies and the festival's roots.
