Virginia, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, West Virginia Place Top 50 in 2024-25 Directors’ Cup

The 2024-25 Learfield Directors’ Cup standings highlighted strong overall athletic performances across multiple universities, with the University of Virginia finishing 12th, marking their sixth consecutive top-15 finish. UVA's athletic success was driven by the women's swimming and diving team winning their fifth consecutive national championship and the men's golf team achieving a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships, despite challenges including coaching changes in men's basketball and baseball. Texas A&M placed 15th, powered by a national championship in men's outdoor track & field and a national runner-up finish in women's tennis, along with several other top-10 NCAA finishes. Virginia Tech improved slightly to 45th place, led by strong performances in women’s soccer, men’s swimming & diving, and wrestling, while West Virginia achieved their fifth-best finish ever at 42nd, ranking sixth in the Big 12.
