Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria Treat Fire Victims from North Macedonia

A tragic nightclub fire in Kočani, North Macedonia, on Sunday has claimed 59 lives and injured at least 150 people. The Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) are transporting additional patients to Hungary for treatment at the North Pest Centrum Hospital, with the Defense Minister highlighting the need for international assistance. Meanwhile, North Macedonia's Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the support from Greece, where several victims are receiving care, and highlighted the solidarity shown during this crisis. In Bulgaria, the condition of several victims remains critical, with eight patients on mechanical ventilation at Pirogov Emergency Hospital and others in serious condition at different facilities. The North Macedonian government has declared a week of mourning as the nation grapples with the aftermath of this devastating event. Efforts continue to provide medical support both locally and internationally, as more patients may be transferred to various countries for treatment.
