Martin Mendoza Arrested at California-Mexico Border for Morgan Hill Teen Murder

Martin Mendoza, the ex-boyfriend of 18-year-old Marissa DiNapoli, was arrested on suspicion of murder at the California-Mexico border after attempting to re-enter the United States. DiNapoli was last seen alive on June 29 with Mendoza and was reported missing the following day; her body was found near Anderson Lake in Morgan Hill on July 2. Mendoza had been uncooperative during the investigation and was considered a person of interest prior to his arrest. The investigation involved over 30 investigators from local and federal agencies, including the FBI and Homeland Security. Authorities have not disclosed the cause of DiNapoli's death, and her family has requested privacy while grieving.
