Ben Stiller Launches Stiller’s Soda; Wider Release Next Year
Ben Stiller has launched Stiller’s Soda, a nostalgia-driven beverage line debuting in three flavors — Shirley Temple, lemon-lime and root beer — inspired by his New York City childhood. The cans are positioned as better-for-you: all-natural, low-sugar, 30 calories each and fortified with vitamins B12, C and D. Stiller co-founded the company with Alex Doman and is promoting the brand with a dry-witted ad campaign featuring Justin Theroux. Stiller’s Soda is rolling out first in New York City independent retailers and bodegas and is available nationwide via Amazon (a 12-pack listed at $29.99). The brand says it will not compete in the probiotic/prebiotic soda category and instead aims to challenge artisanal low-calorie soda makers by modernizing classic soda flavors for adults seeking a cleaner, lighter option. Walmart.com and broader U.S. distribution are planned next year.
