Draymond Green Wins 2024-25 NBA Hustle Award

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors won the 2024-25 NBA Hustle Award, becoming the first player to rank in the top 40 of all nine hustle categories and leading eligible players based on per-minute metrics. The award recognizes contributions like charges drawn, deflections, and contested shots that are not always captured by traditional statistics. Green finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting behind Evan Mobley and Dyson Daniels. The Hustle Award, created in 2017, has previously gone to players including Marcus Smart, Patrick Beverley, and Alex Caruso, with Smart being the only one to win both Hustle and DPOY in the same season. Green, a former Defensive Player of the Year, has four All-Star selections and multiple All-Defensive honors. His efforts have been pivotal for the Warriors, who are currently in the playoffs.
