Mass Appeal Unveils 'Legend Has It' Album Series

Mass Appeal has announced the 'Legend Has It...' series, featuring seven new albums from iconic New York hip-hop artists slated for release throughout 2025. The series includes highly anticipated projects such as a joint album from Nas and DJ Premier, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Illmatic, Ghostface Killah’s Supreme Clientele 2, and Raekwon’s Emperor’s New Clothes. Posthumous albums from Big L and the first new group releases from Mobb Deep and De La Soul since the deaths of Prodigy and Trugoy The Dove, respectively, are also featured. A surprise guest of honor is teased for an 'epic return.' The new Mobb Deep project will be co-produced by The Alchemist. Mass Appeal describes the series as a celebration of New York hip-hop pioneers who have shaped the genre globally.
