Florida State Fires Three Football Coaches

Florida State football has made significant coaching changes following a disastrous 52-3 loss to Notre Dame, leaving the team with a 1-9 record this season. Head coach Mike Norvell announced the firings of offensive coordinator Alex Atkins, defensive coordinator Adam Fuller, and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans, citing the need to restore the program's standards. Underperforming offensively, the Seminoles have not scored more than 21 points in any game this season, ranking last among all FBS teams with an average of 13.3 points per game. The defense has also struggled, allowing nearly 30 points per game and ranking poorly in several metrics. Co-defensive coordinator Randy Shannon will take over as defensive coordinator for the remainder of the season. The Seminoles are expected to undergo further changes in their coaching staff this offseason.
